Emotions are integral part of our everyday life. Their purpose is to initiate and direct our behaviour. Emotions are subjective in their nature and they arise in situations which we interpret as important to us. Not only do they affect our minds but also our bodies. Many physical ailments have their roots in our emotional states (i.e. hypertension, digestive problems, migraines, sexual dysfunctions, insomnia, etc.).
In recent years we begin to understand the importance of emotions in our health and overall wellbeing. We see the impact that emotions have on us, our sleep, functioning of our immune system, our sex drive and many other important aspects of life. The mind and the body cannot be separated, these two aspects are tightly interconnected and they have mutual impact on each other. Emotions alter the delicate hormonal balance of our bodies while our bodies affect our emotions through our senses.
The focus of the lecture will be on three emotional states: fear, anger and sadness/ grief. The aim of this lecture is to gain knowledge of basic homeopathic remedies in order to be able to support ourselves as well as our friends and family in emotionally challenging times. Homeopathic remedies are safe, effective and non-toxic so everybody can use them when in need.
